Are you a high school student hoping to obtain volunteer hours while helping to create habitat, clean the watershed and combat climate change? Join us in Ajax for our Conservation Youth Corps program!
Participants will take part in stewardship and restoration at Carruthers Creek Trail and the Lakeshore Meadow. Registration is required for this event.
*If you want to volunteer for more than one of the below dates you will need to register for each date separately. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
We will be at Carruthers Creek Trail the following dates/times:
- Tuesday, June 20th – 5:30-7:30PM
- Sunday, June 25th – 9:30-11:30AM, 12:00-2:00PM, 2:30-4:30PM
Meet at the trail entrance (25 Westgate Ave, Ajax, ON L1Z 1R8)
We will be at the Lakeshore Meadow the following dates/times:
- Thursday, June 22nd – 5:30-7:30PM
- Saturday, June 24th – 9:30-11:30AM, 12:00-2:00PM, 2:30-4:30PM
Meet across from 28 Lake Driveway E.
What to wear:
Long pants, closed-toed shoes, tall socks, hat and sunscreen.
What to bring:
Rain protection, bug spray, reusable water bottle and snacks. Gardening gloves and water refill will be available on site.
Cancellation policy:
The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 7:00am on the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
